About us
Meet Osmar Müller's journey and the path that took a backyard flavor across borders.
Guia Lopes da Laguna · MS, Brazil
Pimenta da Serra was born from the journey of Osmar Müller, a military firefighter who turned a lifelong passion into an artisanal brand.
It began in a difficult chapter: his daughter Luciane faced kidney complications and, after years of waiting, received a transplant on August 12, 2019. During hospital visits, Osmar tasted a sauce that stayed with him — and back in Mato Grosso do Sul, he recreated the recipe with his own touch.
The passion ran deep: since adolescence he had grown chilies in the backyard and made preserves for friends. The hobby became a purpose when Senar/MS, through ATeG Agroindústria, guided formalization, management, good manufacturing practices, and product professionalization.
Through CNA’s agroBR program, the brand represented Brazil at Expoalimentaria in Peru — Latin America’s largest food and agri-food technology fair — and caught the attention of importers from several countries.
Today the flavor that started in a backyard carries the Senar/MS seal and the authenticity of Mato Grosso do Sul, in sauces, jams, and parrilla salt for the table and the fire.
